Lake Waramaug is one of the most beautiful lakes of CT. Unfortunately, local government does not like non local people coming to enjoy their lake. From time to time park employees lie about “bacteria” present at the public beach open for non residents. They shut down the beach and kick everybody out. At the same time, the beach for village residents only or for the members of their upscale golf club stay open. Read moreWe will never camp here again. While the facilities are ok, the staff is extremely disrespectful and racist. They were yelling at us and threatened us to leave. They called the cops on us twice and lied to them to make us look bad.
