Where to start . . . there are so many great things about Paradisos del Sol Winery! Paul, the winemaker, is very knowledgeable, both about winemaking and about organic practices. His pre-tasting presentations are always interesting and informative. Tastings are unique in that they routinely pair selected small food samples with their wines, and willingly provide recipes and resources for those accompaniments.
The wines . . . I would say I have a favorite, but it really does depend on the season, what I'm eating, etc. Their Rose Paradisos is one of the best roses I've tasted, and is a perennial summer favorite; their Sangiovese is sublime; their Seve a treat. Even their "table wines" -- Oyster White, B's Blend, and Rojo Paradisos -- are far superior to most table wines.
We can't always get over to the Yakima Valley, so the fact that they deliver regularly to the greater Seattle area is always appreciated. We're fortunate enough to be usually the last stop, so I often get a chance to chat with either Barbara or Paul, which I enjoy greatly.
I highly recommend a visit...

After breaking camp from our first night of wine-camping with HarvestHosts in Zillah, we decided to drive down the road and visit Paradiso del Sol Winery.
What a unique winery. The entrance is so unassuming that there is a sign to tell you that you are going the right way. Paul, the owner and winemaker, is quite the character and his tasting room and style reflects him

We did not get a chance to walk the grounds and see the vineyards or the farm animals but we did go back to our camper van with a couple of bottles of wine and a complimentary melon from his garden. All in all a very fun and educational experience that we would...

Such a pleasant experience- we were thrilled to get to sit in the sun and pet some sweet pups, while drinking delicious wine, eating yummy tamales, and chatting with the owners for some time. It’s a rare experience these days to feel so comfortable and welcome and safe amongst strangers as we all adjust to what we are from this pandemic. The connection and warmth that we felt was a great reminder. I know we will be coming back soon. ❤️ side note that we LOVE doggos and their three pups are very sweet and friendly and while there may be a bark here and there when they come greet you- for folks that are weary of animals - they...
