Locals are not welcoming. i was there this spring. I wasn't there for more than four minutes when two locals walked down . The gravel road. I greeted them as they approached with a simple hello good afternoon. Neither one of them said anything, and they just looked at me until I! Left about 10 minutes after arriving. Never hiked the trail. I won't be back.

I was there mid day Saturday and the only one there. I did not see any immediate signs of drug use or vandalism, but the path was overgrown and not well marked, and the trailhead signage was all dated summer 2015. Perhaps when a bit less muddy I'll come back, as there were lots of plants and it was quiet, but it could use some maintenance.

Large expanse of grassland with a border of evergreens with lumpy surface to a bench facing a view of a busy street and mountains beyond. Not much going on, and that traffic noise nearby makes it unappealing. The gravel driveway is easy to miss and the parking lot could only hold half a dozen vehicles.

I'd leave zero stars if I could. Looks like the county has given up on this place. Totally over-grown and nearly impossible to tell where the trail is/was. There's still a few half rotten benches to indicate where the trail may have once been, but that's it. And wildlife present this day......ZERO!! Not even any Barn Swallows. Don't waste...
