Easy to reach trailhead that was the gateway to an amazing backpacking trip. Arrived the night before 7/4 to a very full lot. The lot was at capacity when we reached it just after 10 on a Saturday on our way out.

Wonderful place for family river fun even with young children! Make sure to pay for parking before you arrive because there is no reception. Water was very clean and not too cold in the summer.

This is one of our favorite spots! It's beautiful and you can bring the kids and dogs. Parking is 5 dollars with a pass, bring a towel and enjoy the river

NOTE: parking here requires a NW forest pass, or America the beautiful pass. There is no pay station and there is no Internet here to buy one online. Plan ahead before parking here.

Having said that, there is plenty of parking. There is a spot to unload stock trailers. There is a single pit toilet which was pretty clean. There is also a nice swimming hole/cliff jumping spot a few hundred yards up the river.

I didn't see evidence of cars being broken into at this trailhead. On a nice summer day, this place can get busy, especially on...

Just a short walk from the trail head is an amazing deep pool. Big over hanging granite to jump from. If you swim to the other side there is a rope swing for the adventurous ones. FYI this is a pass required fee area so please read the signs carefully. Please enjoy but make sure you leave no trace and pack out everything you bring in. If we all work together and enjoy this place with respect then we can keep coming back and our children can also....
