Sinclair Inlet is a nice place for a day sail, or motor. Don't block the ferry it a warship, and you'll have no problems. Beware of the shallows, lots of boats seen to run aground in the shallows West of Port Orchard.

The current getting into it out of the inlet, by Rich Rassage can be either a huge hindrance or boon, depending on your planning.

There's tons to do in the inlet, but swimming is probably not...
