Beautiful plants. The viewing tower is always a hit with the kids. I enjoy the risen pathways over the wetlands. You really get a sense of being surrounded by nature. Also the large plant fossil in the garden is a favorite of mine to inspect.

This is a beautiful park with a nice comfortable trail. One part has a boardwalk over water with no rails, so be careful there. There is all sorts of wildlife to view. Bring some binoculars to look over the marsh.

Beautiful Park, beautiful garden, unfortunately the boardwalk where is a wildlife area it's no dogs allowed, I came with my pup to give her a run that we didn't make it out there. I've heard it's beautiful.

This could be confusing to some, Tenant Lake Park has two entrances, one from Ferndale off main st, the other off the Slater Rd. Can drive right to it from the main entrance, car top boat launch and parking for duck hunting. Small boat only, blinds are only accessible by boat. Will need to walk boat under the bridge if water is high. The parking lot off Slater Rd is a bit of a walk in, if you're hunting ducks do not take this path, we were given directions to this entrance from the wdfw website and had to pack all our gear in. For a nice walk around the river the Slater Rd entrance is good. I've only been here...

I encountered a other worldly sound when walking back from the dock that over looks Tenant Lake. It was a couple years ago, and it must of been a hour before sunset. The sound was very loud. My mind didn't know what to make of this sound. It made me feel like I was in the middle of killer bee swarm, and that any second I was going to be swarmed. But there were no insects. The sound must of lasted 5 seconds. The first 3 were intense. As it died out I thought maybe it was the Sound of some kind of birds taking off. I never did get to see the source...

We love coming here to go for a walk and to roam through the fragrance garden. The garden is beautifully maintained and smells marvelous. The various colors and wide varieties of plants make it fun for all ages. There are benches (most in shade) where you can sit and enjoy. The paved path is wide and level, easy to get around. The views are spectacular, too. One of my favorite places in Whatcom County. So beautiful, almost any time...
