Had fun here today with my daughter and her friends. All the visitors were friendly. Father's words of wisdom: River current can pull you downstream at a decent rate, so bring a friend. Water is Tuolumne cold so if you rope swing first into the water, be prepared for the breathless reaction to the cold water. Current and cold can be disorienting. Caution: Rope swing needs to be replaced. Wear aqua socks unless you got Hobbit all-terrain feet. It's a little crowded at times. Pick up your trash when you're finished for the day. I'm sure parks and rec will shut down the access if it gets out of hand. So if this is your spot, show respect for future visits.

This park is pretty nice. There are benches in shade and a bathroom. It has a boat launch. The trail is easy and short. There and back. There are several homeless camps on that side so it was hard to find a safe area to get down to the river. If you go the opposite side of the main trail past the benches you can walk down to the river and follow it for a short while. Nice area. Lots of garbage. Easy walk. My dog liked the area too.

The only reason I didn’t put a 5 star is because we ended up getting a ticket. There is not enough parking spaces for everyone that comes to the river. It wasn’t just us who got tickets, there was probably 10 other cars that got tickets too. The city should put a fee to enter the park instead and build more parking. Along with that the website given to pay the ticket online doesn’t exist. Other than that, the river was good, just be careful with...

What could be a decent park, trail, and swimming area is frequently overflowing with garbage despite having ample garbage cans and two dumpsters. From pizza boxes and chip bags, to beer bottles and diapers. I've been a resident for over 25 years and it's disheartening to see what was once a beautiful river turn into a cesspool. If you decide to visit with children or dogs, please make sure they have proper footwear. The broken...
