Gates Park — Attraction in Waterloo

Don’t let the new set up fool you, the park is beautiful until you get there and the teenagers are threatening younger kids, running toddlers over with adult sized bikes, and doing drugs around babies. The park is cute but it’s going be torn down by the people that go there, I’ll never go back and I do not recommend bringing your kids there. Horrible area that should just be avoided. REALLY LOVE WHAT THEY'VE DONE TO THE PARK TOWN NEEDED A NICE BASKETBALL COURT THAT'S UP TO DATE. I LIKE GOING UP THERE BUT I STOPPED GOING SO MUCH BECAUSE OF THE IMMATURITY OF THE TEENAGERS THAT HANG OUT UP UNDER THAT PATIO CABANA SMOKING AND VAPING BY THE BATHROOMS I WISH THE POLICE WOULD JUST RIDE UP THERE AND SO THEY CAN GET THE PARENTS AND FINE THE PARENTS FOR UNDERAGE SMOKING. This place is awesome! It is sprawling and offers multiple play areas and the largest splash pad in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls and surrounding areas. The kids had a great time. It wasn't crowded like a Place to Play in Cedar Falls always is and has multiple restrooms as well. Would definitely recommend to visit with...
