Waveland Lighthouse — Attraction in Waveland

The lighthouse has the potential to be a beacon of light for Waveland but the neglect is past routine maintenance of the lighthouse. I dont want to get too detailed, as to besmirch the city, but it's starting to look like the peir next door. I would love to see bands playing under the light house, vendors in the parking lot, and just life around our lighthouse But...it seems like the city don't want to upkeep their property. The benches are rusty!! I grew up here and want to invite more people here but it has to be attractive for the residents and then for our fabulous...

Nice and clean, plenty of parking, right on the beach, restrooms on the upper level are usually open and clean as well. Easy to walk down by the water or along the walking / cycling path close to the beach road. Just up Coleman Ave is the Katrina Museum and the delicious Sugar Pop Baking Co for awesome pastries,...

Neat "lighthouse" here on Waveland Beach at the foot of Coleman Drive. It was unfortunately closed when we arrived in the area but the parking lot was nice. Unfortunately the nearby pier is still closed but there were people on the beach enjoying themselves...
