Inclusive Playground — Attraction in Wayne

This playground is great for the youngest of the younger kids. I bring my 2 year old frequently. Most parents seem are very engaged with their kids here, and also very willing to "village parent", so if your kid beats you to the other side of the structure, there is likely at least one other adult with eyes on him or her until you can get there.

It's helpful that we can stop by whole foods and zapp comics after we play, as this playground is located about 2 minutes behind that shopping center.

It would be really great if there were a portapotty/step sink in the park.

It would also be really helpful if there were a little more shade here. The small pavilion can get very crowded with kids having snacks, and there isn't any shade except for the music area, much later in the afternoon.

There's a lot of green space behind the park. It would be awesome if that could become a small splash pad or additional playground equipment, or expanded parking- I noticed that this playground is very popular and the lot fills up...

To be honest may have been just a one off thing but our first time their was on the last weekend of April 2022. Got to admit we were getting uncomfortable glares from the beginning. Not surr if it was a racial thing or maybe because of us having four kids but was very upset that someone had the nerve to ask my fiance what she does for a living with things being so expensive and having four kids…. Not sure why that would be a question?? Not sure what the person was implying but given that conversation and the stares as we walked in and our children played. It did feel like very few hispanics like us are visiting the park. Maybe the fact that the address doesn’t even give you precise address may just lend credence to the fact that this may be a community only wanting its community...

I love this playground, and so do my kids. I like that the grounds are not mulch or tire shreds, which makes it easy for children on wheel chairs or strollers to move around in ease. It is always kept clean, and I love the additions of instrumental equipment that indulges children in fun activities beyond physically.
