A real diamond in the rough! A true gem!
After dragging the kids (6 through 9) on hikes for two days, we decided to dedicate a morning to them. The museum didn't open til 11 so we figured just kick around until they got bored.
That didn't happen! There's the nature trail, the things to play on and in, not to mention the mud kitchen!
Before we knew it the place was open so we checked it out.
All of the questions that had come up in two days of hiking had their answers inside! (Where does all the water in the streams go? What kind of animal made that poop? What kind of plants/flowers are those?)
The staff was lovely and this will be at the top of our activities list next visit...
