We’re driving across the US and randomly found this restaurant. I cannot give enough stars for this place. The food is incredible and sourced locally, it’s fresh and 👩🏻🍳💋. The best treat is the staff, from the gentleman who checked our ID, to our amazing server Brittany, they are personable, new best friends and charming. I’m from California, I may have initially worried about being of place, but once you walk in the door, you’re treated like family. The DJ visited our table to ask for song requests (Kenny Rodgers, yes please), the OWNER spent time at our table, sharing about the venue and chatting like an long lost best friend. I cannot say enough about the atmosphere. The FOOD. It’s insanely good. I barely have words, we had steak and salad, the meat was perfectly cooked and supple, the salad dressing was home made and phenomenal. Great choices for alcohol (I had Blue Moon) and the unsweetened tea was perfect. I didn’t want to leave! The owner runs a van or a stunning, pristine Cadillac to give rides to town/hotels to keep clients safe, we spent a good 10 minutes talking old cars and admiring the Caddy with the owner. Read moreWe went for New Years Eve there were several concerning events that took place. The first of which was when we got there we attempted to order our food, the area we were seated was very dark and our host had to request the lights be brought up so we could see the menu without our phones and judging from the majority of the clients there being older might need to be addressed. The second was the ordering process we had to fill out a form which was not a huge issue other than it was dark and we had one pen for a group nine, also it felt like that the ordering process was chaotic and not well explained to the guests or staff. Two orders from our table were "lost" and took several requests for them to be brought and received after 2 hours.The third issue was the bar tender was taking orders for food and drinks but was unable to open or close tabs causing a backlog. Fourth the bartenders may need further training on drink preparation because mixed drinks were received that were undrinkable due to the amount of alcohol versus mixer. The accompanying mashed red skinned potatoes had a natural sweetness about them and were not salty like a lot of places. The corn was good too.
