Very beautiful with scenic views. The beach is shallow and roped in, perfect for kids but there is no lifeguard so you do need to keep an eye on them. There is a breathtaking view of Mount Ascutney, and a bald eagle's nest close by, which allows you to see them flying through. Grills and picnic tables are maintained and in good condition. Bathrooms and changing rooms available, always clean. The area does get a lot of geese, and they leave droppings on the beach and beyond, but the Army Corps of Engineers maintain the park and have installed geese deterrent lights to minimize their effects. On busy days, the water gets dirty (sun screen floating on top, murky/muddy water) but on a normal day it's clear and refreshing.
