I wish this could have been different, the young lady at the desk was very nice when my wife and I got there. I got to the site and had no power, which I rented a site with power and water. I went back to the office to let someone know that I didn't have power and the owner was there, I waited patiently for her to get off the phone and explained my situation, I also said I checked the breakers and tried the resets, I was confronted with a "sucks being you". I was a little taken by surprise because I was not sure what was going on. it took me. second to respond and I said "well I guess so" and then she said she would send someone to look at. I left and went back to the site. no one came. luckily there was no on either camp sites around us and luckily I brought an extension cord. the next day no one came again, I live close so I drove home and grabbed a longer extension cord so it would reach our site. Never mind that the wood I bought was wet, so I grabbed my own wood from home, but that's not even a big deal either. I left Sunday with a bad feeling about what happened. My wife and I hadn't camped in 20+ yrs and thought we would give it shot again and this place was close and it looked nice. and this is how I confronted with a situation. the place is a clean place and very convenient but if you want to deal with someone like that, good luck.

THE BEST PARK EXPERIENCE THIS FAR!! Sean and Bonnie Crumb have created an oasis in the woods of Vermont! This campground is fashioned after a state park, and is a great family camping area. They are PET FRIENDLY!! Each site is cradled in the arms of large trees that shade each site. Access to Stoughton Pond is a short downhill slope to the water. The Blue Lagoon grants swimming access for young and old alike. Two floating “islands” offer refuge and rest in the sun, or a bouncy place to leap into the water from. Floating for the kiddos are available in the store. In addition to small miniature golf course, horseshoes, small boat rentals, shuffleboard, and clear roads to walk and ride on, there are also potluck dinners, Tupperware and Pampered Chef parties, activities for the kids, tractor and fire truck rides, and weekend bonfires to offer many options for entertainment. WiFi is only at the office, but is available 24/7! Laundry room has two washers and two dryers. It is a reasonable drive to Dartmouth-Hitchcock hospital, in Lebanon, NH. We commuted there for work, and we’re still within “call response time.” This is truly the ONLY place you want to stay when in the area.

We stayed in camp 83 for a month, we had great shade, privacy and walking distance from the playground and pond! The owner welcomed us on the first day, and throughout our stay had some great conversations…Very family oriented, plus it’s well maintained and clean. If we are ever back in this area, we would stay again! We enjoyed our stay! :) Thank you!! There is a small drive from the 91 but it’s totally worth it! You also pay for electricity. Plus there is on-site laundromat, has 2 washers n 2 dryers, which are very convenient! Also has a boat ramp to Stoughton Pond, which we enjoyed taking out our paddle boards! There are also weekend events to get to know neighbors! Overall, we would highly recommend this place!

We are very simple people, we just need a tent site in the woods, electricity and water not necessary--and the folks here not only came through, but we were impressed with the views from atop the boundary marker overlooking Stoughton Pond! Private, quiet--spacious.

All of the neighbors (majority seasonal in RVs) also were super-friendly, sociable, good-natured people.

Dog-friendly, kid-friendly...all you can hear at 10PM are the crickets and tree frogs.

I love the history behind the Crown Point historical trail that stops up in Lake Champlain crossing into New York State as well, the cemetery across the street, and the picturesque views driving past on the way in of a local farm and meadow.

Bathrooms are clean, showers are hot and free, WiFi is a cinch (though in a tent site we liked the off-the-grid feel).

I cannot speak to going as an RV owner nor seasonal rate-holder, but as an old-school outdoorsy type like myself? It was perfect.

My earliest memories are of this campground--In my fourth decade of life, it was so amazing to be back here after 36 years!

Next time, we will save up and plan ahead to stay a week. We originally wanted to head to the shoreline and camp down Route 1, but--This was a much better...
