Lake Louise is a very nice not too crowded public park. There's a playground for children, also there's maybe a dozen exercise machines that are built to work regularly outdoors, it has a nice sized lake with a walking path all around it, there are plenty of ducks to feed, fishing I believe is aloud with a license but no boats are aloud, a beautiful fountain is in the middle of the lake (sadly there is no way to play in it since it's in the middle of the lake), and there's also a old watermill that has been painted & there's a pathway now where visitors are able to walk down to it and enjoy an older part of historic Weaverville. There's also community police that do drive thurs to make sure all is well plus a police officer lives in the residential area of the park. Just adding that as a FYI but Weaverville is a very relaxed place with a extremely low if at all crime rate. Please don't forget to clean up after yourselves so it can stay a nice...
Read moreGreat level ground walking trail (7/10th of a mile once around) that passes directly lake shore. There is one or two areas that are not level, yet not steep. Handicap accessible with one that is right next to the trail and lake. Great for on the spot drop a line in the water and fish, almost from your car? Or try out the big fishing pier jutting out towards the middle of the lake. Meet and greet a lot of friendly people along the walk. Enjoy great lake side benches. BBQ pits and tables, covered areas and a playground, too. Don't forget the restrooms and while on the walking trail there is a fitness area with open air public use exercise equipment. This hometown park located in Weaverville even has a fountain in the lake. Just across the street below the spillway is a wayside park attached to the park. It includes a old timer water wheel, painted farm red, however it isn't used, yet offset from the waterfall. It gives a nice touch. Enjoy, the...
Read moreThis is honestly one of the best parks I’ve ever been to. My kids had such a great time, and we’ll definitely keep coming back. It’s a beautiful spot, with the lake and ducks adding so much to the overall charm. The playground is a great size with plenty of things for the kids to enjoy, and the swings are in great condition too. I also appreciated how clean the restrooms were much better than at other parks I’ve visited and they even have a changing station for babies, which is super helpful.
There’s a lot to love about this park beyond the playground. There’s plenty of seating around, a dedicated workout area, and grills available if you want to cook out. It’s also a great place to walk your pets, with lots of open space. I’ve even seen people fishing here, which adds to the relaxing vibe. Overall, it’s a really well maintained and enjoyable park for the...
