Amazing place for educational stop small but very interesting. Close up view of the local habitat. No fee to go in. We spent 30 minutes there and as a local person I was surprised by what I learned A+++ open I believe from 9 am till 3pm daily

The Welaka Fish Hatchery offers an annual event for kids 5 to 15. Kids fish for free and take home what they catch. Years have varied experiences. Some years favor bags with basic fishing supplies. Nice place to see some fish. No one was there to ask questions but there was detailed information near each tank and further information online. It is an indoor area with a separate building for restrooms which I did not look in so do not know quality. I'll try to return someday to...
