Long gone are the days when the Q in QVC meant consistently delivered quality. Most of the legitimate fashion designers have either retired or fled to more appropriate venues. Most of what's left are wannabe fashion designers who present clown clothes and polyester junk with seriously ugly prints. A large proportion of fabrics reportedly pill almost immediately after the first wash and various fleece and faux sherpa items shed fuzz on everything in sight. Lots of plastic handbags and fabric sneakers for sky high prices. Warm colors as seen on TV, especially pinks, are very often not even close to the actual color - there must be filters on their cameras or some weird studio lights. When a vendor is on a split screen and shows the same colored item, it can be a totally different shade/tint, so it's not my TV. Very few silk, wool, cotton, cashmere or other natural fabrics these days. If something says wool or cashmere blend, it is likely to be somewhere between only 5% and 8%. Petroleum based clothing (polyester, nylon, acrylic, and spandex) takes 20 to 200+ years to biodegrade in our landfills, polluting the land as they decompose. Clothing details have also taken an unacceptable hit: cheap elastic instead of traditional cuffs, plaids that don't match at seams, no darts at bustline, unlined jackets/coats and lots of complaints about cheap looking and/or thin fabric. Quality control is often non-existent, with customers complaining of smelly used clothing being sold as new (and I have experienced this myself), sizing nowhere near close to what is presented on the website, and holes and other flaws in fabric. The same goes for other products of all kinds, reviews on clearance items very often say cheap, won't work, broken, etc. If you are going to purchase anything from QVC, the best advice is to read all of the negative reviews on a specific item before considering a purchase and wait for a day with free shipping. I personally believe that QVC knowingly purchases inventories of products that manufacturers have done a poor job on, and then (red flag!) sells them at a seriously reduced price. For example, I once purchased an exercise machine that had a terrible engineering design flaw and quickly fell apart from metal stress - a replacement part from the manufacturer swiftly failed once again and so this large machine was useless and discarded. I always check other websites for reviews on products that are not QVC house brands to gain valuable information. Shipping and handling charges have become absolutely insanely inappropriate. They are apparently making hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars this way. Each individual item has its own shipping and handling charge, minimum of $3.50, and more and more often lately its $5.50 and up. That's for EACH product, even when several items are ordered at the same time! I am not aware of any other (non TV) retailer that has a per item shipping and handling fee. The cost to return items is also ridiculous, and the reviews are loaded with complaints about this cost. They do let the customer return items for exchange at no additional cost, but many times what is needed has been sold out. A couple more positives are that they appear to publish everyone's reviews, no matter how negative and offer "Easy Pay," which is a payment plan at no additional charge, usually between three and five equal installments. The bottom line is QVC seems to be another exceptionally greedy company that cares less and less about its customers and more and more about profit. According to statistics published online (Statista), QVC made 11.35 billion US dollars in worldwide retail sales in 2021. Let the...
Read moreI do-not recommend using this company! Avoid them like the plague! They will charge you for shipping and if for whatever reason you choose to return the item, you'll be charged for return shipping along with if you choose to use the provided return label, a return label shipping convenience fee! They will charge you three fees in total, a shipping fee, a return shipping label convenience fee and a return shipping fee! You will now have no item and will have paid three fees for nothing. How ridiculous is that? The only way you don't pay a return shipping or return label shipping convenience fee is if you decide you will accept another of the same item, otherwise you'll be subject to these three ridiculous hidden fees for returning them. I called customer to discuss this matter and was forwarded to a manager who tried to convince me I was incorrect. I said Ma'am, I have my credit card statement right in front of me. I know what my parents were charged. She proceeded to hang up the phone on me. Obviously she got caught in a lie! I canceled my parents credit card account, they had been with QVC for more than 30 years. I looked over statements and saw on average my parents were charged several hundred dollars per year in return shipping fees! Many of the items returned were clothing, which were too large! They don't tell their customers they'll be charged for shipping fees whether they decide to keep an item or return them. You'll be paying assorted shipping fees and not have the items any longer. Imagine paying hundreds of dollars per year in shipping fees and not having the items anymore. It couldn't be anymore insane! Also, sometimes they will allow you to make payments over a few months, rather than pay in full immediately. What they don't tell their customers is, the QVC credit card company will charge you interest during this time period! So, it's not actually free financing after all, it's just a gimmick to make you think otherwise! Everything they do is dishonest. They just never get caught! Most people don't realize this because they don't look over their credit card statements, they simply just pay the bill. They get away with this behavior, because many older, handicapped and overweight individuals are unable to easily shop in retail stores, and because of this, they take full advantage of them. This behavior is extremely cruel! Have a...
Read moreBEWARE!!! I had to give at least 1-star, but they don't deserve that! I have ordered a few items - some good, though the quality was questionable on others. I purchased a couple of items on their Easy Pay program and found it very convenient. One day I received notification that someone was using my account. When I signed on, I found a PlayStation loaded in the cart on my account. I called Customer Service to alert them and questioned how this happened. The customer service folks that I spoke to were all very nice and accommodating. The Supervisor explained that she was going to lock my account until we got this straightened out - which meant that I would not be able to access my account until I spoke with someone in the Finance Department, who would also assist me with changing my password. I called the next day and my call went to voicemail (that didn't identify the Finance Department, or QVC). I left a message and requested a return call. Nobody ever called. I called the number several times, at all hours, and I was never able to speak to a person - I was only able to leave a voicemail message each time. I even called back to customer service to confirm that I had the correct number! I never received a return call from anyone. The next thing I know, I've received a notice from a COLLECTION AGENCY that my account has been assigned to. It's obvious that OVC does not read, or care about their reviews, but please don't waste your time! Their merchandise is pure, over-priced crap! Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere!!! And to QVC - I may pay my debt, but you haven't heard the...
