Girls got to explore so many new parks when visiting family in Indiana

Very impressive new park. The swings are in the shade (yay) and the play area is on top of a hill so when you climb up things you feel like you're really high. The disadvantage of course is that you have to climb up the hill in order to play on the equipment. The slide hill has some awesome slides. However, there's no stairs so you have to walk a very windy road all the way around the back. This also means there's no way to keep your child in view at all times. If you watch them from the front as they go down the slide you won't see them walk the path behind all the way up. If you're watching them walk up the back then there's no way to watch them at the base of the slide. Thai local lake is pretty cool. I've seen people fish on it and it looks like they're going to have boats of some kind. Perhaps. We'll have to see.

I have to say this is probably one of the better Parks in West Lafayette Lafayette area, so many different walking paths as well as several playgrounds for the children to play on, they also have a Boathouse with rentals there and very child friendly, multiple bathrooms available with free women products and baby changing stations, very unique design, lots of parking, plant life, I really enjoyed walking around and checking out everything thank you West Lafayette for creating this park, love the old school also

There's a mixture of paths and stares wherever you go. You can say it's mostly wheelchair accessible although some spots Go off into a mulch path into the trees. There are water fountains and water bottle refill places. There is a smaller children's section that even offers water play. There are many swings and different structures from the rest of the parks nearby. The different play areas are stretched out and connected through walking paths. Restrooms available. Brand new park, brand new baby trees so there is not much shade yet but I imagine there will be. Bring sunscreen if you plan to stay for a while. Great place for kids to explore and...

Multiple playgrounds for kids of all ages (my kids 9 and 13 had a blast), covered picnic areas with grills, kayak boathouse with kayaks and life jackets available for rent ($10/hour), and multiple handicapped accessible restrooms. All areas have paths to them and are handicapped accessible, minus a couple wooded areas that are mulched and not paved. We went expecting to spend maybe an hour and it was 2.5 hours before the whole group of kids were ready to go. Perfect place to spend the morning and then have a picnic lunch! There are even some open grassy areas where you can play ball...
