very pleased with products and staff. I make bulk purchases (many, many bottles of various products) in person at the Ripley, WV location when visiting family/friends in the WV area; have not found any distributor in IL close to me. my favorites are the single-barrel bourbon, the blackberry shine, and the watermelon shine. have also tried the paw paw and the apple pie. they are all very good. my absolute favorite is the watermelon shine! nice job Taylor! She was also kind enough to sign one of the bottles for my first purchase. couldn't be more pleased with their products!
addendum: noticed one review discussing "confusion" regarding ABV (alc by vol) levels...which surprised me, because the first thing I did was ensure I WAS buying the right ABV...these values are easily displayed online, and when I was onsite I simply made sure they were selling me the ABV I desired. to me, this was a non-issue, but I don't want to speak for others w/o insulting their intelligence. I am not a sophisticated connoisseur of liquor (perhaps just a medium connoisseur! :-)), but I think the ABV should be a fairly fundamental thing to check on upon making a purchase. just my humble $0.015 (which rounds...

The moonshine tasting was fun, but if you make a purchase beware: they sell different flavors and sizes with different alcohol levels. This wouldn't be an issue if it was prominently advertised on the bottle, but since it's written in like 6pt font on the side you may be surprised (like we were) to find that the bottle you bring home is half the strength of the bottle you tasted!
At best this is confusing, at worse it's deceptive. $20 for a tiny $375ml bottle is a lot to ask at regular liquor strength, and at 40 proof...
Read moreDrove out of the way to come here. Open sign was on and flashing, but they were locked up. No hours were listed on their site or front of establishment, but Google maps showed they were open (put in a notice to google hours are off in case they can update it). Called the number listed on their distillery site with no answer. Payed to try their apple pie moonshine next door at the yact club bar, and it was good. Guess they don't want visitors. Luckily, we ended up at Hatfields up the road after, which was awesome. Check them out if you end up in the same situation we did...
