Pipestem Adventures — Attraction in West Virginia

I never write reviews, but this was such an amazing and memorable experience, I had to share the highlight of our Pipestem trip. We had Baylee, Megan, and Cory as our zipline guides and they were nothing short of fantastic. I am pretty uncoordinated and managed to get stuck twice on the course, but both times I was quickly helped out; the guides make this course easy for all experience levels. Our guides did a great job explaining how their course worked and always prioritized everyone’s safety. The guides were super fun to talk to in between zips and kept everyone in the group laughing. The course itself is beautiful and allows you to appreciate the full beauty of Pipestem. The best zipline is #7 with one-of-a kind views of the scenic Bluestone River (I really got to appreciate these views because of where I got stuck on the zipline and was super grateful to have the extra time to grab some photos). I have been to several different ropes/zip courses but this one was by far the most special: it has the BEST guides (shoutout again to Baylee, Megan, and Cory) and the coolest views and will be the thing everyone keeps talking about. My husband, daughter, and I went on the zip line tour this past Saturday and I have to say it was amazing! The tour itself is pretty incredible.. you hike down the mountain to get to the start of the tour, then we were able to do 6 different zip lines, which all were so much fun. All the zip lines go quite a distance, and then the longest was over 1200 feet high and about twice the length of the other 5, and you go up to 50 mph! The tour guides Colin and Bryan were absolutely wonderful! They were knowledgeable, great conversationalists, fun, and very good teachers. They made the time between each line super fun and we all were laughing the entire time. Great guys they are. One other thing to mention, if you are somewhat on the heavy side, don’t even stress it. I am a thicker gal and still had no trouble on the tour. So don’t let weight stand in your way of doing something so awesome you’ll never forget it. I know we certainly will not! We brought a large group (200+ attendees) to Pipestem State Park over a week in July with Family Nature Summits. Pipestem Adventure trips were a highlight for our attendees. We participated in all the activities they had to offer from the splash pad to zip-lining. The employees provided informative, fun, and safe experiences for all ages. The adults came back raving about the zip-line while our K-6th group had the perfect introduction to the river on the float trip. Pipestem Adventures could not have been more accommodating in the planning before our event, checking in with us throughout the week, and following up post-event. We have worked with outfitters across the country and Pipestem Adventures stands out with their service and knowledge of the area.
