



Not good. I didn't go in the lodges, but i did ride the tram. It got stuck on my way back up to the top of the mountain. It was in the middle of the summer and it was hot. It took about 30 minutes for the workers to do something, the ended up sending someone named Matt to the top of the towers and fix the cables. In my one hour experience i got to see the writing scratched inside of my trams windows. My favorites included the words "I like crack" and "butt sex". I'm not kidding. This is not appropriate. I could also tell the trams were very old because a date from 2005 was scratched into the windows as well. And when they did start to fix the cables and bring us back in, the cart had a big bump and was swinging on the way in. Read moreMy husband and I stayed here for a weekend. This lodge is only accessible by tram, it’s far down in a valley when the rest of the park is at the top of the mountain. We were so happy to have made the choice we did, because it’s like a world all of its own down there! The lodge is right beside the Bluestone river and it’s just peaceful. Absolutely beautiful!!! Plan for no cell service down there (was fine with us) and also knowing the tram stops running at a certain time so you must be back before it closes. Plenty of trails and activities to choose from, at a reasonable price. Check-in is handled at the main lobby, so be prepared to get your room card before going down the Tram ride.
