I got my prom hair done here and i had a terrible experience. My mom took me here because she had a great lady who would always cut her hair and i once got my hair colored here before a few times as well. The first time i loved it! When i requested for the lady i had before she sadly no longer worked there. The second time i got my hair colored i showed her the picture of how it previously was and she didn’t not follow it what so ever she basically colored my whole entire head when i wanted some high lights. I felt horrible because i hated it and my mom spent a bunch of money to get it done along with it being my birthday present. Now when i got my prom hair done it was the worst experience yet. I first made an appointment showed up early and the lady i had went into 30 minutes of my time working on someone else. I was patient but anxious because i had prom in a few hours. Then i showed her a few pictures of what i was thinking of doing and she didn’t really understand and did it completely wrong she tested some thing but one thing lead to the next and she started pinning things down. When i asked her to try to do it another was she got very aggravated and upset with me because she was “low on time” when she had only been working with me for 10 minutes and was 30 minutes late for my appointment. So having not much time left in her mind she rushed and did a horrible job and said some snarky comments. There was another lady who was working there and said “scream if you need any help” and she aggressively responded with “i just might” at that point it was straight up disrespectful and i was on her verge of crying. She could see and she just simply got more mad. She spent 30 minutes on me when i paid for an hour. Worse experience ever. I was totally disrespected and i felt as if she thought of me as a bratty child. If i were to say something i knew it would make matters worse. My mom wasted her money because once i got home i had to take it apart and do it myself. I did not want to tip because of the horrible service but my mother insisted to be the bigger person. I had a terrible experience at this salon this morning. I had highlights done here about 6 months ago, but today I wanted to go back to a solid color. My appointment was with Nancy. She explained to me that the color I wanted was not possible, which I understood. She offered to retouch my highlights, but I decided that I would rather grow out my highlights than get them retouched. I informed Nancy that I did not want to continue with the appointment, thinking that she would understand that the customer has the right to refuse service. Apparently, I was naïve in thinking this. Her demeanor immediately shifted and in a very rude tone she said, “Really? You’re cancelling this appointment because I’m being honest with you?” I politely told her I understood that she was being honest with me but needed time to think. She escorted me out, continuing to say, “I’m just being honest with you.” I cannot overstate how rude her tone was. In turn, I could do nothing but repeat that I understood. As I was leaving, I paused to say thank you and goodbye to the receptionist, but I doubt she heard me as Nancy was already badmouthing me to the receptionist (while I was within earshot!) Unimpressive and unfriendly service for our 2-year old son. The haircut came out fine, but the place didn’t seem child-friendly whatsoever. When I called to make an appointment, I was assured they had experience with kids. When we brought our son, the greeting and first impression left a bad taste in our mouth and set the tone. The front desk associate showed no interest or enthusiasm to welcome our son for the first time and make him feel comfortable. The hair stylist was nice and she tried, but she seemed unsure and uncomfortable as if she didn’t have experience with kids. Thankfully, our son didn’t cry and sat through the haircut, but we didn’t appreciate limited conversation, interaction or attempts to engage/connect with him.
