I saw Artists Point in a YouTube video as I was preparing for my trip to Yellowstone. I had never heard of it before or even the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Read moreLovely views of the falls (Yellowstone river) from this Artist Point. Had to do a couple of iterations before finding a parking spot in August, crowded. There was a nice talk by a ranger about the geological nature of Yellowstone. Timings for ranger presentations are posted at the Point. There is a mile long trek that will feel like a lot longer because the trail is not smooth, and you are climbing up hill, and you may find yourself short of breath if you have not adjusted to the altitude. There are also some benches in the shade on the path to this point if people just want to chill. It's pretty crowded with people all the time taking pictures, but the lookout point is also quite big.
