I saw Artists Point in a YouTube video as I was preparing for my trip to Yellowstone. I had never heard of it before or even the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. I've had friends who have been to Yellowstone and didn't know that it existed. It was hard to find. However I did finally manage to find it an it was so worth the extra effort. It is on the South Rim road in the canyon area. The beauty of Artists Point far exceeded my expectations. The beautiful yellow rocks for which the park is named and the pure cascading water of the falls truly makes it a...

Lovely views of the falls (Yellowstone river) from this Artist Point. Had to do a couple of iterations before finding a parking spot in August, crowded. There was a nice talk by a ranger about the geological nature of Yellowstone. Timings for ranger presentations are posted at the Point. There is a mile long trek that will feel like a lot longer because the trail is not smooth, and you are climbing up hill, and you may find yourself short of breath if you have not adjusted to the altitude. Fantastic views from the trail. You can have all the profile...

Amazing spot! The viewpoint is awesome, what more can I say?! The waterfall is in the distance, and the canyon is in front. There are also some benches in the shade on the path to this point if people just want to chill. It's pretty crowded with people all the time taking pictures, but the lookout point is also quite big. The parking lot also has a lot of spaces, and there are bathrooms too. Definitely highly recommend this spot in...

Day 2 was jam packed with Yellowstone adventures! We weren’t exactly expecting so much snow, but it was magical. We spent a few hours exploring Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and the many beautiful overlooks. Then, we stopped at every scenic point we could on our way back to West Yellowstone! Would you venture out in the snow, or stay cozy inside? Day 2 itinerary:👇🏼 📍Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone 🥾Hiked the South Rim trail to Artists Point and back from upper falls. 🚗 Stopped at Lookout point, Grandview and Inspiration point 📍Canyon village general store for coffee and souvenirs 📍Artists paint pots (~1 mile trail) 🚗Scenic stops: -Chocolate pots -Beryl spring -Gibbon falls -Terrace spring 🍔Dinner: Slippery Otter Pub This was a place we went to twice, it was that good! Again, great 🍺 selection! Tip: Whenever you see a sign or a scenic pullout, just pull over! You won’t be sorry! ❗️Please remember to leave no trace when visiting. Give wildlife plenty of space!
