Our Mom is in the memory unit and I cannot say enough about how happy we are with the care she’s receiving. I’m a retired nurse, and her health care proxy, so I’m somewhat on top of things and I can wholeheartedly attest to how conscientious and caring the entire organization is. The hands-on care that she receives comes from a place of warmth and genuine caring. The Manager, Kerry Ann, has been there for a few years and she improved an already great care model. She helps us and advises us on all things and we trust her implicitly. She runs a tight ship I’d imagine, as the entire unit is immaculate, no matter the time of day we visit. Our mom’s apartment is clean and tidy, she is dressed and has make up on, and she is participating in activities. The staff is incredible, all of them. Lawanda has been a primary care provider to her and she feels like family to us. Mom adores her and we see how that love is authentically retuned to her. Our Mom is safe, happy, loved and well-cared for. A decade of worry and searching for a solution to a difficult situation, has a happy and optimal solution for this family. We couldn’t be more pleased. Kudos to all those who work hard every day to earn this glowing review....
Read moreWe moved my mom (who has Alzheimer's Disease) to Sunrise Westfield during a difficult time in her life, having lost her husband of 72 years. At every stage of the process, the entire staff showed compassion and professional expertise. The director Ellie, Tara in Sales, Kerry Ann who manages the Reminiscence Neighborhood (memory care), every aide (especially Catherine), the physical therapy team and the medical director, Dr. Sobel, made the entire process as easy and smooth as possible for both our family and our mother. Thanks to the care she received from all, while she still has Alzheimer's Disease, she has become alert, engaged and much healthier, both physically and emotionally.
The facility itself is clean, cozy and comfortable, much like a bed and breakfast. We are forever indebted and grateful to the staff for all of their difficult and compassionate work. If you are considering assisted living you would do well to consider Sunrise Senior Living...
Read moreMy 97 year old cousin had advancing dementia and could no longer care for herself. When I hired others to help her, she fired them. She was unhappy in my home. The decision was made to move her to Sunrise because it solved almost all of her complaints about daily life including the need to climb stairs, inability to clean house, loneliness, and inability to engage in pleasurable activities. Sunrise took care of all of those problems. She often did not often make use of the weekly drives, the entertainments, and the activities. However, staff always made her aware of the availability and encouraged her to take advantage of them. Whenever she did engage, she enjoyed herself. At the very end of her life, my cousin was treated with dignity and respect. When we were called that the end was near, someone stayed with her until we got there. While we were there, the staff was attentive and caring of our needs. Our experience at Sunrise was...
