The Nankin Mills Nature Center is a historic and nature interpretive center located at 33175 Ann Arbor Trail in Westland, Michigan. It was originally built as a grist mill, and was one of Henry Ford's "village industries." The mill was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1967.

We visited Nankin Mills a few years ago and it shocked me at how fun and informative it was but we just stopped by there very recently and were extremely disappointed to find out that most of the museum is closed for renovations. Definitely my fault for not checking but it never mentioned anything when checking the days and hours of operation. I would have assumed they would have mentioned it but I guess not. I did ask when their estimated time of reopening would be and the nice gentleman in the office informed me that they were running behind(big surprise) and to probably not expect to be fully reopened until sometime in 2025...

Wonderful and scenic place. The office is running limited hours temporarily, but the atmosphere and scenery of the park make it a nice place to visit and for a picnic.
