I’m someone who has to stop and pee a lot so I was thankful to find this rest up with a viewing area to observe the local wildlife. I went both times I went back-and-forth from Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers. It’s definitely gonna be a stop that I take every time I pass it.

The first time I went, it was on a Tuesday and it was very calm and hardly any people. I saw a lot of alligators in the water and it was really neat. It was basically my first time observing alligators in the wild.

There’s multiple areas to stop in the small rest stop area like four different sections where you could go. There’s only one bathroom area, which is a nice bathroom.

They are currently doing a lot of construction near that bathroom and installing some new boardwalk observational decks and points and it looks like it’s gonna be really awesome, but I don’t think that’s gonna be open until like August 2025 when I asked them.

The second time I went was on a Sunday midday Ish early afternoon, and it was actually a lot busier and I saw way...

This little gem of a rest area( as a mover for 23 years, I have seen them all) is in between the toll on 75 north and mile marker 30. Just a beautiful little spot to take a break, sit w the family, friend or be alone. ONLY CON IS NO SERVICES... FOR THE LADIES.. FELLAS, I SAW MANY TREES AND OM HAPPY TO SAY NOT 1 OF THEM HAD A " DO NOT WATER" SIGN. 😁Very quiet and gives a great sense of the Everglades. Side note, also a nice place to pop the question.... you know the 1..." hunny... will you go fishing with me?" Lol... very rejuvenating rest area. I meen the little lady even loves me more than she did 20 minutes.. I know ot, she told. It's just a...

Really nice scenic spot. A couple of picnic tables under a pavilion available and a good size watch tower with wheelchair accessable ramp as well as stairs. We watched a large group go out on one of the party size air boats and watched a small rain storm out on the horizon. The only downside was the amount of trash along the water. People are trash mongers and its sad that I have to see this everywhere I go. I try to pick up trash when I can, but the edges are not safe to walk along; very soft bank and always a risk of nearby gators.

My friends, please dont toss your trash in the water or...

A must stop along Interstate 75, if you are lucky, you will be able to see a mirror reflection of the sky, really amazing! Take a little break from driving, and while you rest here, enjoy the endless view of the Everglades! And if you spot an alligator, just enjoy it too.
