White's of Westport — Attraction in Westport

My family celebrated a post-nuptial brunch at White's of Westport and it was wonderful. Kendra Mello was our point of contact throughout the entire process and she was excellent to work with; she truly went above and beyond. Our first contact with Kendra was in February for a May event. She was helpful, responsive, and took great care of us even though our date happened to coincide with one of White's busiest days: Mother's Day!

We booked a private room for three hours with access to the grand buffet. We were not able to provide an exact headcount as we told guests to stop in whenever they could, but Kendra and her team were still able to accommodate us. The staff, Kendra and Myles, greeted our guests warmly, provided cocktail service, continuously replenished water, coffee, and juice, and quickly replaced place settings as our 40-50 guests came and went during the morning. When the room started to get full with the original five tables that were set, Kendra and her staff set up an additional table without even being asked to do so. They had such a keen eye for the details and really made the event run perfectly. A special treat was that Chris, the owner of LaFrance Hospitality, made a point of coming over to the hosts to thank us for our patronage. So nice of him to do that on such a busy Sunday morning.

The buffet was plentiful and the food was delicious. All of our guests enjoyed their meals, and even on such a crowded day the lines moved very quickly and nothing ran out. Overall, I would highly recommend White's of Westport for any special occasion event, and especially working with...

I worked with Sherri and her team were incredible from the initial meeting, to the tasting, to the rehearsal and the big day! She has notified me about a package I qualified for due to my “out of season” February wedding, where there was TONS of benefits.

Our wedding was about 85 people, and we had it in the ballroom. We brought all our own decorations, and Sherri had taken detailed notes about how we’d like everything to be. The room was beautiful.

All my guests spoke about was how great all the food was (especially the mash potatoes!) the staff was kind and I felt like royalty as a bride.

Everything was positive from start to finish, and Sherri not only made sure I knew what was going on but also who I was working with. I ended the wedding night with Sophia supervising. My family and I had Easter reservations for 2pm and didn’t get a waiter until 230pm. My father asked for a bottle of wine that was on the special Easter menu a few minutes later we were told they didn’t have it and they had ran out of baked potatoes. Ok drinks were served and right away 3 glasses were sent back all 3 dirty. My father gets his wine they sent the wrong one. Until then we weren’t getting upset it was busy we understand but a bad smell of dirty carpet filled the air and the place looked very dated. The bread was good but the rest of the food not so much the steak was dry and the shrimp stuffing almost everyone didn’t eat. The vegetable medley what a joke just carrots We expected the food to be better than what I cook at home but they should have hired my mother we would have had a better meal. The place needs to be updated and those carpets need to be replaced or cleaned. The cups should be inspected before they go out and you shouldn’t run out of stuff that early in the day.
