Fun, small place with 3 trails that I would rank from easier, middle, more difficult. Easy is not very far to the waterfall out of a man-made tunnel, but requires minimal hiking experience. The middle trail is longer and has some more challenging areas that would are much harder than just walking, but enjoyable as it walks along the Harpeth river. The more difficult requires a lot more energy and skill because of the steep incline. The trail has a set of steep steps that even a taller individual had to put effort into to scale them. The trail is not overly difficult, but not for the faint of heart either. It brings you to the overlook that looks for miles over the valley, offering a beautiful sight that makes it worth the hike. Can't wait to try out the...

Really easy to find. The put in is very steep so be careful not to drop your boat down the hill. Especially if your wife and kids are down below;)

Takes less than two hours if you stay steady in your paddling. It will be all day if you don’t paddle. There is little to no current most of the time. After a good rain in the summer, it might be a bit better but normally the water level is very low most of the way. The only place it’s reasonably deep is at the put in. Take out is just after the bridge. Don’t miss it! If you do it will be a long, long time before another take out. I think it’s like twenty miles to the next public takeout. Takeout is about a ten minute walk away from the put in. Fantastic when you only...

Located a brief drive from downtown Nashville, this place is the perfect antidote to city life. The Narrows State Park has enough to do and see to keep one occupied and content from dawn until dusk. There are several hiking trails to choose from, an old above ground mine and waterfall to explore, the clear Harpeth to swim in, rock beds for hunting fossils, numerous species of birds and mammels to watch, and tons of canoe/kayak rental places for a cruise downstream. When I lived in Nashville, I went here constantly! It is beautiful, clean, and uncrowded which makes it easy to enjoy. If you dwell in the ville or are just passing through, I recommend giving The...

One of the best places to hike with beautiful views from the overlook and a waterfall pouring in from a tunnel. We tried doing this hike a couple of weeks back when the snow storm hit but we could not do it as we fell down every two seconds because of the slippery hike 😁 Ample amount of parking place . Get your meditation kit when you reach the falls . Its therapeutic with the sound of the falls and calming nature.

The Bluff Overlook Trail- Gets you to a scenic outlook, it’s a short in and out hike with a lot of incline Tunnel Trail- Will take you to the waterfall, however, swimming isn’t allowed. This was also a short hike. It seems like this area is mainly for the joy of kayaking/canoe which we didn’t do, also roads are very narrow for a two-way plus pedestrians sharing the road. Love that dogs are allowed here!
