BOOK THIS PLACE! YOU WONT BE SORRY My husband and I booked this retreat for our 20th Anniversary, just as a quick trip to get away from the hustle and bustle of home. Can I just tell you that Alicia left no stone unturned. I am notorious for leaving things at home when I pack. No worries, she had EVERYTHING you could need there for your convenience. The hospitality first of all, who leaves a dozen of fresh eggs for their guests? Not to mention the MOON PIES! If you know, you know. The home was very clean and had plenty of kitchen necessities, and they actually worked. Oh and the beds are so comfy. I love the fact that there was no dishwasher. This is a farmhouse that’s over 100 years old, so that was very fitting. I loved the photos in the sunroom of her family, the biscuit cutters on the wall and the lemonade recipe. 💜 The seclusion, the house is up on the hill, with no neighbors. There was outdoor stuff there to do, and beautiful flower beds. This is the perfect opportunity to just enjoy the peace and quite of the country life.

The location is perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing or just lounging and doing nothing, as we did. It’ is just a short drive to downtown Nashville. I always feel awkward being in other peoples homes, but, I can guarantee this, you will never have a better experience anywhere than you will get at Deep Roots Retreat. This family home sure feels like home. We will definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful "Tender Tennessee Christmas" we had with family on the front porch of this beautiful historic home! Alicia was such an incredible host. She knew we were coming so Grandad could cook his annual Christmas Breakfast for the kids, so when we pulled up in the eve, the front porch welcomed us with a brightly lit up Christmas tree just waiting for us. As other reviews have stated, her kitchen being stocked with all you need is amazing. Seldom do you find the dishes or pots and pans you need. The beds were wonderful and I absolutely loved the sunporch where I could curl up with a good book and relax away from the news and TV in the other room. Our dogs loved exploring the woods and a return hike to the backside of the tunnel at the Narrows of the Harpeth Park was a walk down memory lane. Thank you Alicia and Mario! We love you! My friends and I stayed here for a little bachelorette stay-cation. This was the perfect house for our relaxing weekend! The home has been in the host’s family for a very long time, so when you enter, you can feel the love and memories that have been shared there. The host was very thoughtful to make sure us girls had everything we needed for our stay and even left the bride a vase of flowers! We couldn’t stop talking about how cute everything was about the home. If we were able to stay longer, we definitely would have enjoyed relaxing outside on the porch or in the yard.
