Visited the museum today October 2, 2023..The Seamar Chicano museum provides a timeline on the migration of Mexicano farmworkers into Washington state. The exhibit focuses on the farmworker and then into Chicano activism at the University of Washington, the Seattle community and the development of Seamar Medical Centers. The museum provides a historical perspective on how Chicanos arrived and flourished in the Pacific Northwest..Understanding that this museum is relatively new, there are still areas that could be developed, such as providing dates and identifying events, people throughout the museum...Would appreciate more information on how and who developed the concept of providing medical care to Latinos. Another possible resource for capturing history would be to interview the people displayed in the photographs...Oral histories would provide another critical aspect of the times...overall, we enjoyed...

We were so lucky today because two gentlemen who curate the museum were there working on some displays. They were so kind and passed along some great information.
