I transferred here in January 2025 from the Rock County campus. And even when I'd come to visit here on days when I didn't have any classes at the Rock County campus, I knew it wasn't going to be long before I'd have the time of my life. And sure enough, now that I go here, I consider this the best University of Wisconsin campus there is. The professors here are awesome from what I've seen, especially the one I had for my World of the Arts class I took last semester. The advisors and other faculty there are top notch too, and they will all go out of their way to help me or any other student in need. I love that they offer guest housing for commuter students wanting to stay on campus to attend club meetings along with evening and weekend events, which doesn't cost terribly much money (Around $20-$45 a night). The only thing I don't like about this campus is the Winther Hall due to the elevator there being creepy and unpredictable. Despite that though, I would EXTREMELY recommend this campus to anyone looking to go to college. Like they say, it is affordable and convenient, and all the professors and faculty will have students' backs no matter what. This place is literally my home sweet home away from home, and if I could start college all over again, I would start here. I love it here, and I hope others will love it just...
Read moreHonestly this school is great. The professors teach very well and the people here are awesome! Only problems is that on the weekends Whitewater doesn't have a lot of stuff open so it feels like the school wants you to drink or something; they should leave the gym open longer on weekends. Lastly, the BIGGEST problem is the advising of the business department. You start out as a freshman with ACTUAL ADVISERS they help you and you are all ready for school. AAANNND their gone! You get some advisers that just send you premade emails and don't want to talk to you. My adviser has actually emailed me saying he was not going to respond to another email of mine. You then eventually get an "Adviser" but in reality is just a professor. Since they are payed to teach NOT be advisers some don't know the ever changing curriculum of UW-Whitewater. This is not the Professor's fault but the organization's fault. The organization has all sorts of ways to see if you are taking the right classes but you don't know which one is right because most of them are wrong. I love Whitewater: the people, the atmosphere, the teachers, the problem is advising. We are students, our job is to learn. They are teachers, their job...
Read moreI went to UW Whitewater from September 2020 to December of 2021. My first two semesters there were immediately after Covid, so it was all online, which was fine with me, because I actually tend to do very well with online school. I also did a summer semester in 2021 and completed a class online. End of summer 2021 I found out I was pregnant. I figured I would be OK considering that starting September 2021 I would be back on campus. Unfortunately, I had severe morning sickness and could barely make it through 10 minutes of a class at a time let alone handle the drive to Whitewater, which is 40 minutes from my house. I ended up having to drop that semester. My professors were super understanding and helpful throughout Covid and my unpredicted life event. I knew that once I had my child that I would have to switch to online so for the January 2022 semester I transferred to UW Green Bay since they were one of the only ones to have an online...
