Dr. Gandhi is probably one of the least helpful medical professionals I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The office on 32nd Street is terrible in every way. Rude front desk people, lies to get you to book appointments that you don't need, the works.
My husband went to see her about a year ago when we were trying to qualify for food assistance, as he is disabled and I wasn't making enough to support us. She said that she'd book an appointment and fill out the paperwork with us (I confirmed that she would in fact fill it out before even scheduling). $100 later (no insurance) and we walk out empty handed because she was treating his anxiety, not his depression (a lie. He has medications for both). She refused to change her story and hid behind her attending and framed it as their choice, not her's.
Fast forward six months and we're doing better, but he has some sort of mystery ailment that steroids seem to help. We wait until we have insurance and book an appointment. She refers him to a specialist, but refuses to prescribe any more steroids because of "the side effects". He is currently losing his vision and has memory issues and brain fog. We get a diagnosis from the specialist that it's an ailment that responds very well to steroid treatment!
The kicker? She wouldn't prescribe him the medicine he needed, but she was really pushy about getting him on ozempic! To the point where I had to give her the mom-voice "no" to get her to shut up about it.
Will not be coming back. Will never recommend her. Awful doctor. I hope she finds another...
Read moremy doctor had retired, and I needed a new one. I had called several times and no one ever answered. I called today and they finally answered and the receptionist was lovely and very nice and said I’m on the list to be matched with a new doctor, and I said I’m out of refills so she said the nurse would get those for me, she transferred me to the nurse because I am out of all my refills and they hadn’t matched me with a new doctor yet, the nurse didn’t pick up so I left a voicemail. The nurse called me back and told me my doctor retired and I had 30 days from February to call and get a new one. I told her I did and no one ever answers. She told me that she can’t give me refills and there’s nothing she can do. She was incredibly rude and told me it was a “me problem” so now I have no medicine and I’m going to have to find a new doctor and god knows how long that will take. Have never had a problem with them until now. Very...
Read morei really need an advocate to help me through the details of this experience but we have given up on the gas vouchers and the medication programs bcz it appears that no one ever even TRIED to enroll me for any of it...some of the scariest/worst moments of my life only to be promised help and security only to find out i was never going to get any of it!!! i couldn't be more disappointed to find out that i only received compassion and help if i would take their recommended drug and didn't ask any questions or voice concerns or be hesitant to "cooperate" by taking the popular new drug...i am now trying to cooperate but it seems maybe it is too late...i made too...
