Me and my kids (3 and 4 years old) had a great time here all day long. Friendly staff, great price, loads of fun.
Things to keep in mind. Outside food and drinks is not allowed.Lots of drinks options, However the only food available for purchase was chips. Good news is great food is available just minutes away in downtown Wiggins. I recommend whistle stop.
This place is not ADA compliant at all. So if you have any mobility issues I would recommend going elsewhere.
Online somewhere I had seen something about miniature golf, it is no more. Though you can still see the remnants all over.
If your kids cannot swim bring your own life jacket. They have some, but they are those cheap orange ones that you keep under the seat of your boat for minimum coast guard compliance. Your kids will feel much more secure in a good quality vest. My kids kept theirs on at all times and had no issues.
My kids were able to enjoy all of the slides. The lazy river(more like lazy rapids) was great. Everyone got their own tube and I held onto them all to stay together. For the fast tube/rug slide, I held my three year old in my lap and she had a blast. For the other slide I stood at the bottom and caught them. The life guards would have done it, but I didn't think it was fair because my kids were making fast rounds of all the slides. Didn't feel like pawning my kids of on them.
The only bathroom is at the top of the hill, at the main entrance. I wish there was one down at the bottom.
There are lockers, but you need your own lock.
There are no showers to rinse off. The water is clean, but it is lake water. Would have been nice to have had some tap water to get the feeling off.
At the end of the day we had a great time and will be coming...
Read moreA fun retro style waterpark on the lake at Flint Creek. The park uses Lake water and has concrete slides and the fiberglass tube slides. It’s great for families. They are locally run so the expectations are different. They have enough lifeguards to keep everyone safe. Slides for every age. Something’s to note if you’re looking to visit: While there are ramps, the park is not fully handicapped access accessible so in order to get to the seating areas at the bottom by the big pool, you need to walk down a 30° graded concrete hill/slope and down steps. There are two porta potties at the base of the park but all other amenities, including concessions, changing rooms and bathrooms are at the top of the hill at the point of entry. So expect to walk back up and down the hill several times if you want to get drinks or snack or use the regular restroom. The Porta potties were cleanish and stocked. So no complaints there. They do not allow outside food or drinks, but you can go reenter the park after eating at the car or the birthday pavilion if available. They changed some of the hours between when we got there and when we left for Thursday and Friday as seen in the pictures. So the hours are subject to change due to weather, of course, and...
Read moreI have run here at Flint Creek many, many times and enjoy the shade and hills very much. I came to the water park for the first time a few years ago for a good friend’s kid’s birthday party which was so much fun... The next year I knew I wanted to have our little girl’s birthday party here, so we did that and it was a complete success. Rusty and Stew were a tag team and just helped the event to go smoothly, and also helped me to relax! The kids had the best time ever. They were absolutely pooped by the time we had to leave, but could not stop talking about it... We have come back just to play at the water park many times since. We love the park and we love the people here. They just take great care of you, make sure you’re having a great time. You and your kids are also in good hands safety wise since the lifeguard certifications are a big deal to them over here, so that’s another plus. I love not having to drive down to the coast to have a great day or weekend with the family outside. This is right in our backyard- living...
