Wilbraham Children's Museum — Attraction in Wilbraham

I absolutely love bringing my daughter to this park! She loves it here, and I really enjoy it too because it’s fully gated, and I can easily see her from anywhere in the playground, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. I’m always right by her side, just in case.

The only downside is that sometimes I find things left behind, like onesies, dirty diapers, water bottles, pacifiers, and even backpacks. My daughter is autistic and doesn’t always recognize danger, on one occasion, she touched a dirty diaper, and another time, she quickly put a pacifier she found into her mouth before I could stop her. I was only a few steps away, but she’s really quick.

I think it would be really helpful if visitors could make sure to clean up before leaving, and if the maintenance team could help by checking and keeping the playground cleaner. Adding a trash can near the playground might also help, since now that I think about it, I haven’t noticed one, and that could be part of why people leave things behind. A small change like that could make a big difference in keeping the space safer and cleaner for all kids, especially those who may not recognize certain risks. My grandson loves this place. You have to keep your eye on the little ones. They love the freedom of running around anywhere they want to go.
