One of my favorite Christmas activities every year is going to Robin's Island! Right from the start of the drive around the lights are amazing. In fact, the beginning is my favorite. You set your radio to the station they say and drive. The lights are set to the music, so each song brings a new show. Wizards of Winter is still my favorite!! The entire path around the island is lit up. Something's the lights are just lights, but in a few places they go to the music. I am fascinated by some of the displays they have! It's nice to just stop and look sometimes. There are 2 arrears where you can specifically do that and get out of the flow of traffic. Only once have I been in front of a rude driver who was in a hurry apparently. Every time I go, I turn and go twice. All of this is free of charge! At the end is a spot to donate if you wish. Sand then you can turn and go through again 🙂 Just the drive TO there is amazing! To see all those lights... Reminds my of a summer fair at night. This is something not...

We love Robbins island and cannot wait to bring the kiddos in our family next summer! I love hiking there with my friends and family, there’s lots of opportunities to be by the water without being crowded. That being said the beach is usually the most crowded of the places but if you just want to relax without swimming (or fish instead of swimming) I find there to be tons of spots. I really enjoy the variety on path types here because it allows us to choose a route that’s relaxing and able to be conversed by stroller or people with walking disabilities (paved concrete albeit bumpy in spots) or a little more off the beaten path (dirt or grass trails with lots of critters to see). There’s disc golf around the island and some scenic lookout spots. I have found a few nice places to fish during summer here, however no luck ice fishing. The park looks super fun but yet to take any kids to play there. Overall I love this park and it’s a super nice option to enjoy nature or...

Robbin's Park is a sweet, convenient place to get in a walk or jog along the lake through shaded tree-lined paths. I always feel safe even when I'm walking solo. The large play area is new and a popular place for families. Lots of coloful things to climb on and swing. I loved the ethnic diversity with a nice community vibe. The Frisbee golf looked fun as a few groups were enjoying that option. A new, very clean restroom facility was great near the beach. Convenient for changing into your swimsuit, too! New ample parking. The only thing questionable that I noticed was there were so few people using the beach even on a hot day. Makes me wonder if there's something wrong with the water? Other than that, it's one of my favorite walking spots whenever I visit Willmar, "where the good life is...

Great park with lots of amenities and facilities. We love the playground and checking out the music here. Beautiful holiday light display in December. Bring your bike and ride the trails. Lots of picnic tables to sit and enjoy a meal.
