Nice park but several issues: the foul balls kept going out on the street along the first base line and almost hitting cars that were driving by, 2) The fencing behind the catcher needs replaced or repaired. There is a gap between the ground and the fence. I was sitting behind home plate and a pitched ball came within inches of my face. Had the ball hit any of the fans sitting back there, it would not have been pretty! The city that owns the park would have been sued. A beautifully shady and covered pavilion makes picnicking cool and comfortable while a well maintained, fully enclosed playground gives adults peace of mind and security knowing your kids won't wander off! A quick detour off the interstate made this park a perfect stop for our group of 24 as we caravaned to our vacation destination! Great place to go fishing or river walking, all though I suggest you have water shoes or not go barefoot because it is such a popular spot for fishing you run the risk of stepping on a hook.
