We arrived in Cleveland during an ice/snow storm in February. Driving from Cleveland to Willoughby wasn’t a pleasant experience but we arrived without incidence. We checked into the Willoughby House and were greeted by Judy who was very kind and gave us the details of the Suite we would be staying in. We, having owned and stayed at many short term rentals over the years, couldn’t help but notice, the entire unit was absolutely spotless. Kudos to Heather! The furnishings were clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed for a most relaxing and enjoyable stay. The provided breakfast was in the Willoughby house, served in the enclosed porch. The breakfast setup was orderly and we were served yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels, boiled eggs, coffee, water and a variety of juices. We would absolutely recommend the Willoughby House & the Carriage House Suites to everyone and anyone planning a visit to Willoughby! We plan to stay here again in May! I was beyond impressed with my recent stay at The Willoughby House. This beautifully Restored Landmark Country Estate was absolutely perfect for a very special family wedding event that was held near by.

The rooms were gorgeous and perfectly decorated with an old-fashioned estate feel but with all the modern conveniences. We were able to select rooms for all our needs, from the Bridal Suite to exquisite rooms for out-of-town guests in the Main House to perfect two bedroom suites in the Carriage House for large families with children.

Not only were the facilities First Class in every respect but the staff throughout the Inn was outstanding. They were friendly and totally committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible. The restaurant, Julia’s was a sophisticated dining experience which we throughly enjoyed.

I highly recommend The Willoughby House and I will be returning on my future trips...

The proprietors of Willoughby House have absolutely nailed the launch of this wonderfully charming inn — and amazing restaurant (Julia’s 1902). Our stay in one of the Carriage Suites was delightful from check in to check out. Doug and the team from Willoughby House were welcoming, communicative hosts and ensured we had everything we needed to make our visit feel as if we were at home. We greatly appreciated how well appointed and comfortable the newly remodeled rooms were — every detail was considered from the design elements to the quality of the amenities provided. 10 out of 10 would recommend Willoughby House over a stay at a chain hotel if you’re visiting the area soon.
