Savannah Boathouse Marina — Attraction in Wilmington Island

After a long and tough journey, this beautiful new facility is a reality! I am super excited to have my tour and shuttle business based there, and I love the place already. This marina is located perfectly for either offshore action or boat trips to Daufuskie, downtown, the beaches, or points south or north in the ICW. Less than a thousand feet of no-wake zone in either direction and you are on your way! For Freedom Boat Club members, trips are now much easier! The fleet is here! The docks are well thought out and structurally fantastic with plenty or room to move about. The cleats are mounted in tracks to that they can be adjusted for your specific boat. A brand-new Toyota boat-lift places your boat in and out of the shiny new dry-stack barns or on the wash-racks with ease. The store and upstairs event-space with elevator access is fantastic. A wide open deck area upstairs with four big-screen televisions and an unbelievably spectacular view of the river and marshes will fill you with joy. The restrooms and shower facility are clean and shiny and attractive; heck, even the railings are a sight to behold as James Gartside and Dark Arc fabrications made them to look just like boat-railings. The beautiful metal roof was put on by Rusty Hunter and "Roof Hunters." This place is super cool and I am super proud of the McCarthy family for getting this done against significant headwinds and obstacles.
