This State Park is very peaceful. The trees throughout the park are really beautiful. It has a super modern and clean welcome center with a gift store and lots of information. There are also several laundromats within the park that were nice and you could pay with an app or credit card. There are several loops and camp areas within this park. We camped with a 30 foot travel trailer and found camping area one, with sites 1 through 10 to be quite nice. Several sites are considered premium because they have sewer hook ups as well. The premium sites do cost a little extra. Other sites are divided by either 30 amp or 50 and pull ups. Our first night we were scheduled for site number 77 but we could absolutely not get level in that site so we moved out. We were lucky to get into site number one for the remainder of our stay. It had rained a lot the days before we arrived so the mosquito population was out of control. Many of the sites had a lot of water and mud except for in the premium sites which were dry. There are several walking trails and nature trails within this park, but we stuck to the road with our dogs because the trails were muddy. Read moreThe grounds are beautiful and it is quiet. However, the grounds are poorly maintained. Some sights turn into ponds when it rains, the raised areas for tents are poorly designed and fill with water. Trees are close to the edges of mostly very narrow roads, so be careful if you have a tall RV, you can see places where others have hit and likely destroyed their rigs. The roads have huge humps from tree roots and you should go very slow if you don’t want to rearrange...
