Lanphere Cellars — Attraction in Wilsonville

My wife and I visited this winery just a few days before Christmas. We had an amazing time, even though it was a rainy day! We were warmly greeted with a friendly staff. During the winery tour, we learned a lot about vinification from Alberto, who was a great tour host and very knowledgeable in this field! After the tour, we had a wonderful time in the tasting room. Great wine samples and appetizers were carefully curated by Sky (my apology for any misspelling name), who was knowledgeable about the wines served, and was a very tactful, friendly and polite person. The Pinot Noir red wines and Debbie’s Hibiscus dessert wine (it was very new and had no label yet at the time) were so delicious and were the winners of our selection!

We had such a wonderful visit! It reminded me a quote from a close friend, who is a self-proclaimed Oenophile: “nothing is quite like being surrounded by good company in a nice, warm and relaxing atmosphere, listening to the gentle rain falling on the window, while enjoying the unique aroma and texture of a delicious glass of wine". Well, as my wife and I were serenaded by the beautiful live violin music performed by an amiable artist and enjoyed our lovely and delicious wines in the winery's charming ambience, we mused at what our friend must have meant.
