This bridge was probably our favorite of all the covered bridges we saw today along the Ashuelot River. The reason, it looks like an old weathered covered bridge from times gone-by. The bridge is much smaller in size compared to the other bridges we saw today but its unique old-world charm and unpainted walls made it more special. Again, like all the other bridges seen today, it is a one-way bridge and the people who live near the bridge do not abide by any speed limits and people on foot are an annoyance to them. You do not want to try and cross this bridge on foot since it is probably the narrowest bridge we saw today.

The Coombs Bridge is the first covered bridge I ever crossed in, walked in, and seen in real life. It is located in Winchester, New Hampshire, and is absolutely beautiful. If you walk inside the bridge and stand in the center, you will get some major perspective. What I like about this bridge, aside from its beauty, is not that many cars seem to come by. When my friend and I were there, no cars came through, and we were there for at least 15 minutes. We visited in May 2022.

The Coombs Bridge, constructed in 1837, is a quintessential example of New Hampshire's covered bridge tradition. Spanning the serene Ashuelot River, its historic charm and robust architecture offer a glimpse into early American engineering. A beloved spot for history enthusiasts and photographers, it blends seamlessly with the rural landscape, embodying the rustic beauty and enduring legacy of southwestern New Hampshire's bridge heritage.
