The least hospitable library I have ever visited. The front door is locked and you ring a bell to get entry? Why, I asked? To avoid overcrowding, they said. Seeing an empty library and empty parking lot, I ask if crowding was an issue. No. Never had beenn, they said. I asked where I could sit to use my laptop Surprise.. they removed all but one chair, "to deter loitering. ". This said with a straight face in a building with only one other client in the cavernous room. He was using the one chair.
