My husband & I were supposed to be picking up a new RV this weekend. Saturday night of Labor Day weekend I found the camper on the website & it had exactly everything I wanted. First thing Tuesday morning I called & spoke with Randy & told him I would be coming from an hour and 1/2 away and we would be there around 3:30 to look at the camper. Randy said it was no problem. I also told him I had a camper I was trading in. He told me to fill out the form online. So I did that immediately as well. I get there around 4:00 due to traffic & the camper is not ready at all. It clearly looks like it hadnât been touched in months. The slide out was still in. I ask Randy if he could bump it out & he said âIâd have to have one of my tech guys do thatâ. I said âokâ. I continue to try and look at what I can, thinking he's going to get them to do it. A few minutes later, I asked again, same response. I wait a few minutes and this time ask, âwhat do we need to do to get the tech guys to bump it outâ. Only then does he tell me theyâve left for the day & thereâs no battery on the camper. This is extremely upsetting as I specifically told him hours prior that I was coming so he could get it ready for me to look at. The grass was growing up around the camper pretty high too which is kind of off putting. I was not able to comfortably inspect & explore the RV. However, I did see there is paint on one of the dinette cushions. I'm wondering why this is, it's a brand new camper, there shouldn't be paint on it. I did my research prior to coming so we pretty much knew I wanted the camper so we went back inside to his desk. I was then informed they wouldnât take my trade. That would have been nice to know before I made the drive but I know that's a sales tactic to get me in the door⊠whatever, ok. I still wanted to purchase it. Randy asked about financing and I told him I had a pre-approval but that if they could beat it, I would go with you. He asked my credit score. I told him. He said, âwell, weâd probably offer about the same anywayâ. And left it at that. I planned on paying my down payment while I was there but the finance manager told me not to. I'm sure why. I left that day with the understanding that on the 16th my husband and I would be coming to bring the check from the lender, pay our portion, sign their paperwork and pick up the camper. I got the check from the lender Thursday morning. Sent a picture of it to Randy as requested. He called me and made reference to my husband and l coming the 16th to sign the paperwork and then said weâll figure out a time to get the camper prepared for us to come back and pick it up. So, he literally wanted us to drive 3 hours round trip to hand over and check and sign some papers and then wait another 2 week or more to get our camper, when it would have already been 2 weeks since we decided to purchase, and offered to make a down payment. I have never in my life seen a dealership so inattentive to potential customers. Randy did absolutely nothing to earn this sale. I wanted this camper and against my better judgment I was willing to overlook a few things but after, once again, we were going to be inconvenienced without any consideration for our time, gas and tolls and the more I looked at how things were handled the more I questioned the state of the camper, if they are trying to hide something and the ethicacy of the dealership. Not to mention, if this is how they treat a potential customer, what would happen if we needed warranty work done on it. I have a feeling we'd find trouble there too. We have decided to purchase the same camper from another dealership. Due to the lack of attention we have chosen to drive further and spend slightly more. They have lost a sale and will have the camper sit on their lot...
Read moreWe were initially drawn to the No Boundaries 18.2 trailer at Forest River in Berlin, NJ, and decided to place an order. However, after years of research, we soon realized that the original trailer was not the right fit for our vehicle. As we processed our disappointment about not moving forward with that trailer, we continued to explore the lot and discovered that we actually needed a smaller model.
While speaking with Dan, he listened to our concerns and understood that we were specifically looking for an off-road trailer. He mentioned that, although we preferred not to purchase used, he had one unit we could consider. Once we stepped inside, we both felt it was the right one for us.
We purchased the 2024 Flagstaff E-Pro travel trailer, and couldn't be more impressed with the service we received throughout the entire process. From our initial inquiry to driving off the lot, the team went above and beyond to ensure our experience was smooth, transparent, and enjoyable.
Our sales experience with Dan was fantastic. Unlike the high-pressure tactics we encountered elsewhere, Dan listened to our needs and promptly answered our questions. His honesty and professionalism established a strong sense of trust from the very beginning.
On pickup day, the customer service we received was outstanding. The team provided a thorough walkthrough of both trailers. Our technicians, Joel and Chris, explained every system in detail, including the electrical and plumbing systems, as well as the slide-out operation. This wasnât just a quick overview; they took their time to answer all of our questions, making us feel completely comfortable and confident before we left. They also explained the process of hooking up the hitch and sway bars. We truly appreciated the exceptional service from the entire team, especially from the outstanding Service Manager, Rob.
After choosing our trailer, the finance team, led by Zach, made the financing process straightforward. Zach clearly explained all of our options and assisted us in finding the right financing and warranty package that fit our budget. We appreciated the transparency, as there were no hidden fees or last-minute charges.
The support we received didnât end when we left the lot. A few days after our purchase, Dan called to check in and see how everything was going. We shared that we had spent a few days at a campsite and were in love with the trailer.
In conclusion, the team at Camping World Forest River in Berlin, NJ, was exceptional. They have built a lasting relationship with us, which we genuinely appreciate. We highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a new or used travel trailer. If you're looking for a stress-free, pleasant, and positive buying experience, this is the place to go.
I have high expectations for customer service, especially for a purchase of this magnitude. This team made me feel very confident in this...
Read moreWe went to HitchRV. to look at the camperâs. After we had went to other camper dealers. Our mail lady Robin had told us about HitchRV thatâs where she has bought her camperâs. When we got there we were welcomed like if they had known us for years. That meant a lot to us, you feel that warmth feeling. Our saleâs man was Mr. Ken Tuohey, he greeted us with smiles and was very polite, kind and I can keep on saying nice word to say how great of a person he is. I will let you experience it for yourself. He showed us the camperâs, that day was a very HOT đ„” day and we seen lots of camperâs. Mr. Ken was so patient the whole time he was with a smile đ. We asked him like thousandâs of questions, because this was our first camper ever so we knew nothing about them. We seen one we liked and we came back a couple of times to look at it. The day we were going to do the paperwork we wanted to look at more camperâs we were undecided. I know I drove Mr. Ken crazy with all the questions of solar panels and batteries and how everything would work in the camper. But with all of that he was very pleasant about everything. I think he is having solar panel nightmares đđ€Ł. So we finally decided on a camper. We went back a couple more times to look at it, and ask questions about it, Mr. Ken got Ben to answer all the questions we had, we wanted to to see the camper on and Ben did that for us. Ben is very knowledgeable about the camper. He was very polite also. Then Mrs. Christa called us to let us know that the day we were coming in to pick up the camper it was going to be very HOT, đ„” so she wanted to let us know we could come in earlier if we wanted too. She is looking out for her customers and her employees. That is very kind, caring and thoughtful of her. So the day before we were going to pick it up we decided to play a prank on Mr. Ken. đđ€Ł.. because I had drove him crazy we knew he would fall for it. đ. We told him we wanted another camper and we wanted all the solar panels transferred to a new camper. BOY!!! you had to see his face it was priceless đđ€Łđ. The day that we came to pick up the camper Ryan is the young man that walked us through and explained everything to us. Ryan is also every knowledgeable on everything he was very patient with us, with all the questions we were asking him. Just like I had said we are new to the camper owner world. We know nothing about them, and the people from HitchRV were patient, caring, and understanding with us. Their prices are phenomenon, their price are cheaper than other places, we looked at. We are very pleased with them. If you have not ever had a RV/camper and are looking for one or if you have had one and are looking for one I can say this, go here you will not be disappointed. You will leave with a smile on your face and a new camper. Experience the wonderful customer service...
