I rented (M3910×10) July 10th 2018 @$48 per Week. I took the spot but I knew I needed More SPACE. I pd weekly for two months on an empty booth ONLY to find out Tanika, Nikki, or Daniel were renting to other PEOPLE making Double per wk off the booth I was paying on at the same time. They finally offered me a larger booth. They did the same Deb sale again. I met the vendors that rented my booths; They had promised to them after I had paid! Things weren't good that winter. For the Flea or for Business. So I stayed till April 2nd week. (I owed $233) n Rent PAID IN FULL WITH a CASHIERS CHECK. Read moreBeen coming to Cooks since I was a child. 30+ years. It's evolved a long the way, not for worst but not for the better either. I'm not even angry about the parking fee, i understand why, dont care for it but it is was it is. Never once have I had an issue with a vendor until yesterday. I'm posting this here because they aren't listed in the directory for me to post there. One of YOUR vendors decided it was okay to yell and talk down to my child in a belittling manner. Unacceptable behavior!! It was the lady who sells the rocks and copper jewelry on the newer side, her husband is the booth right next door who sells smoking pipes and Indian head dresses. I've made purchases from both of them in the past and they have always been very kind and polite. But don't let your kid pick up a cheap .50 cent rock or she will freak out. Due to her behavior we will not be returning to cooks flea market ever again. She single handedly lost our business for every vendor in the entire place. I understand that kids like to touch and I understand a vendor not liking it because something might get damaged. I would've paid double had something been damaged just for their trouble because that how i am with small business like that try to earn a buck. This woman could've approached the situation with tact instead of flying off the handle and acting like a explicit!! Luckily my wife didn't go full on tornado in her booth for talking to us and our child like that. Talk to your vendor and straighten it out. I expect an apology right here where everyone can see it if you ever want me to spend a dime in you...
Read moreI have not been here in about twelve months. I was certainly not prepared for the updated parking system/configuration.
I attempted to pull in from the north to park and realized that they had reconfigured a previous entry/exit point to make it strictly an exit. What a mess with poor signage indicating that. I proceeded to the updated entrance (which I saw via signage). As you drive in, up a hill, you see gates with arms and a sign indicating a parking fee. There is no way to turn around at this point to avoid paying the fee so be prepared for that. The fee is only one dollar but it’s interesting that I didn’t see signs prior driving into the long one way entry and thus being committed to park. I also do not carry cash (the vendors I bought stuff from in the past accepted cards) so I was a bit panicked not knowing if they took cards but luckily I saw signs that advised they did.
Once inside I didn’t see any of the four vendors that I had purchased from in the past, but it had been a couple of years so I understand. Inside I saw a good amount of customers walking around looking at a mix of new and used items like household goods, furniture, appliances, clothing/shoes, tools, auto parts, toys and food/drinks (to take home and eat onsite).
Upon exit there were several vehicles at the paid exit gate which created a bit of a back up. The staff seemed to work at a good speed but it took several minutes. I tried to pay with card and they just smiled and told...
