This spot is beautiful! Not just for a picnic but also just walking around looking at beautiful scenery at every turn. If you are looking for a quiet yet stunning place to take the family or even a date you should definitely put this spot in your top 5 to check out! Depending on where you are you have a perfect view of Pikes Peak, especially along to the drive up to the picnic area. It does cost $8 dollars per car if you drive all the way to the end if the raod but there are MANY places to park and hike in without paying.

Very nice area and pretty cheap ($7) Would have made 5 stars but the bathrooms were a little to 3rd world country for me and my wife. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The park was well kept. Great views from every angle. The bench tables were nice and they had a lot. Go check it out!

Lovely setting for a picnic. Many tables have a fire pit or grill. Very clean and not many people picnicking. Popular with fishers and paddle boarders. Limited number of parking spots

Before going there with my Teo years old I was trying to find reviews about going there with toddlers. I didn’t find anything. So I went there anyway and took my son. And I want to say it is not good area for active little ones. The shore of the lake is steep and the water is deep. It is slippery and I was always worried that he may fall in the water.
