The Maples — Attraction in Woodland

Having photographed weddings at many beautiful locations, The Maples in Woodland, CA is one venue that truly captures a timeless and romantic vibe. From the moment you arrive, the peaceful, tree-lined grounds immediately create a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels both elegant and natural. The property is stunning – a perfect blend of elegance and rustic charm. The tree-lined driveway makes for an iconic entrance and sets the tone for a romantic, nature-filled wedding day. The ceremony space is nestled among lush greenery, with gorgeous natural light filtering through the trees, creating a soft and dreamy atmosphere for vows and first kisses. What I loved most as a photographer was how versatile the estate is. From golden hour portraits in the open fields to intimate moments under the canopy of mature oaks, every corner of the venue provides a beautiful backdrop. The reception area is just as charming, with twinkle lights and an open-air feel that’s both cozy and celebratory. The team at The Maples was a joy to work with—friendly, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making the day run smoothly. Their attention to detail and flexibility made a huge difference not only for the couple but for all of us vendors.

If you’re looking for a venue that feels like a romantic escape without being far from Sacramento or the Bay Area, The Maples is a gem. I can’t wait to photograph another wedding there!

I got married at The Maple on August 30, 2019 with a guest count of around 150. My husband and I fell in LOVE with this venue right when we stepped on the property (and that was in January when it was pouring!). I have nothing but positive feedback when it comes to the maples staff, property, and how beautiful everything turned out!! Briana (the maples manager) was SO easy to work with and was ALWAYS available to answer my questions- and you will have lots of them if you’ve never planned a wedding before! Trust their suggestions on vendors! We used Alluring Events as our coordinator, Farm to table as our caterer, and Contemporary DJs as our 3 big vendors. Everything went off without a hitch! As far as I know (which is how it should be)!! It was about 95 degrees on wedding day, which was a big concern of mine but Briana suggested using Misting Pros and they saved the day! We had misting fans for the reception and dancing which our guests were very thankful for. I also loved the bridal suite and men’s den. This was important to both of us, to have a place to get ready on property.

LOVED having my wedding at The Maples and would highly recommend this venue if you are looking for an outdoor venue with lots of greenery, and trees!! And they can hold up to 300 guests...

I cannot recommend the Maples enough! From the very beginning, working with Briana and her team was a dream. She helped us find the perfect wedding date, answered all of my questions (okay... maybe I was one of those brides) and helped us find some amazing vendors. My bridesmaids and I spent the night before the wedding in one of their cottages. I will never forget waking up to the gorgeous sunrise over our wedding venue with all of my best friends. And the bridal suite!! I felt like an absolute princess all day. The versatility of the venue was amazing, there were so many options for our photos and the different parts of our actual wedding. Our guests were very impressed and many told us that it was the prettiest venue they had ever been to.
