Start in parking lot at base of Snow Mountain ski lift, go to far end of lot where a stone marker says Cascade Ridge and brown sign says Cascade Path. Follow up through condos till in the forest and follow yellow blazes. Once to the creek, follow up the creek till you encounter a series of waterfalls, 6 or more. The trail will come out on a road/trail to the top of the Snow Mountain. You want to go right, not left, at a trail intersection where the only clue is an yellow arrow pointing right engraved in a tree. This trail is less used, and the yellow blazes are harder to follow, but one can pick out the path down until you intersect with a ski trail and see the red building below at the base of the ski lift. The falls are very nice, and it is a short but beautiful hike well worth your time.

This was my first time exploring Cascade Path and I loved it! I will certainly be back. There are several notable waterfalls worth stopping to take in the view. All waterfalls are along the small stretch (approx. 0.3 miles) where Cascade Path is parallel to Cascade Brook. I recommend doing the loop, bringing you near Snow’s Mountain, as you’ll get different scenery of the surrounding Waterville Valley mountains through ski trail clearings.

What a beautiful trail! It follows a stream from near the top of Snow's Mountain to the valley below, and there are several beautiful cascades along the way. If you go in the summer, insect repellent is needed because of small biting flies. Also, the trail is rugged in spots, so it's not recommended for anyone with a walking out balance impairment.

Me and my friend saw a black bear coming down the tree about 100 yards from us and within seconds he or she vanished into the woods. This was my first encounter with a bear and I froze in panic. We then made loud noise as we needed to walk through the path close to were the bear was. It was getting late and we needed to get back to the car. Very scary but in the end, great experience to see a bear. Probably once in...
