A great hike! Slightly muddy and slippery with all the leaves from recent rainfall. Definitely a decent amount of steep terrain. A great workout. Excellent views at both Bald Mountain and Speckled Mountain summit’s. It could use some better information like a sign at the trail head stating this way to Bald & Speckled Mountain trails. Also at the fork just below the Bald Mountain summit, it should have information that “blue” markers lead to Speckled Mountain summit and yellow to Bald Mountain loop? Anyway, not a good hike to do in the dark. It was perfect for my cattle dog and I. Took us just over 2 hours. Foliage is around 60%… Great hike!

Gorgeous area. I sat at the top for quite some time admiring the view! Well worth the short hike to the top!!

Pretty vertical, but fun and great scenes. Went at 4am, hard to navigate a bit at night.

The loop around Little Concord Pond was quite icy and slippery, making ice cleats essential for a safe hike. Without them, the trail can be difficult to navigate due to frequent icy patches, especially in shaded areas. Despite the challenging conditions, the hike was beautiful. Midday, the overcast skies provided a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The pond itself was frozen solid, with ice thick enough to safely walk on.

Overall, it was a wonderful winter hike, but come prepared for icy terrain. Ice cleats are highly recommended for a safe hike, even just...

Its great for snowshoeing in the winter. Has a beautiful view at the top with some rock climbing opportunities. At one point you can over look two ponds at the same time. It has some decend terrain elevations. I would say this is a moderate climb...
