My experience was terrible on 7/20/2024, my sister have lived down the street for 2 years and we've been to this park several times, with family and a couple of kids, well 7/20/2024, my sister got married and we decided to celebrate it at this park, nice park and kids can burn energy, well we had a tent and several tables, music low and we were compliant, first a worker from the village approached us and asked if we had electric cables, we said no, then went on to say we couldn't have tents or tables or food, which I know from visiting this place I've seen this and have done it myself no problems at all. Then here come the police who GASLIGHTED THE ENTIRE TIME, FIRST ARE YOU GUYS GRILLING? NO, OK HAVE A GOOD TIME, THEN COMES BACK, THE TENT HAS TO COME DOWN, TOO MANY COMPLAINTS, THAT CAME DOWN, THEN STAYING AND WATCHING THE ENTIRE TIME AND GOES ON TO HARRASSING TO THE POINT TO MAKE US UNCOMFORTABLE, MY SISTER LIVES IN THIS GOD AWFUL VILLAGE AND IDIOTS THAT WERE RECORDING AND MAKING CALLS, WHEN WE WERE CALM, COLLECTIVE AND JUST CELEBRATING A GOOD DAY WAS TOTAL INAPPROPRIATE AND DOWNRIGHT IGNORANT AND RACIST, CUZ GUESS WHAT WE ARE BLACK, THERE ARE NO RULES ON GROUNDS THAT SAID, NO TENTS, GRILLING, WHICH WE WEREN'T AND OR TABLES,, EVERYTIME I TALKED TO THE OFFICERS THAT ACT LIKED THEY DIDN'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED, BUT CALLED BACK UP FOR NO REASON, I WAS CALM, DIDN'T THROW A FIT NOR RAISE MY VOICE, IN YOUR MINDS WE DIDN'T BELONG THERE, BUT MY SISTER STAYS IN THE VILLAGE, SO WE DID, WE DIDN'T BOTHER ANYONE, MUSIC AT A MINIMUM VOLUME AND OUR KIDS WERE ENJOYING THEMSELVES, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT EXIST THAT THRIVES ON IGNORANCE, MAYHEM AND DETRIMENT TO OTHERS, SO REGARDLESS WE KEPT SMILES, ENJOYED AND I WILL LIKE TO SAY TO THE PEOPLE WHO MADE PHONE CALLS AND RECORDED, GOD JUDGES...

Very nice park! Splash/Spray Pad feature is great for kids of all ages! Playground equipment is new & in good condition but really wish they had a jungle gym or area for smaller kids. I have 2.5yo & 1yo boys. I tried to take my 2.5yo on jungle gym to go down a slide & it was really hard! There are lots of openings that a smaller child could just step right off of accidentally! I had to literally hold onto the back of his shirt bc I was soooo nervous!! Just FYI, I am almost never like that & am not an overprotective mom at all!! Most people think I am very liberal with my boys. I encourage them to try new things & do things that challenge them, but found that playground to be dangerous!! I would not recommend unless your child is at least...

I Highly Recommend this Park. Its Friendly . Just Supervise your kids. There was a?Situatiin with a child with a water gun playing roughly with other kids and sprayed a boy directly in his eye to which his eye swelled.. Police were called because the child was Alone and not supervised. Oaklawn Community staff were No where to be found until after the fact.. which they Need to be on Premises at All times. But other than that me and My grandkids had fun.And make sure your kids have "water shoes" on there are all kinds of viruses and funguses on the ground . I would NOT recommend being barefoot.too many...

Found this place on accident. My girls and I LOVE it. They water area is super clean and nice. The park is awesome. If you have really little ones, there's not much for them to do. I have a 1 year old and thankfully she likes playing in dirt more than anything or there'd be nothing for her except a few baby swings. It's too unsafe for her to play on the equipment. It's really high and there's big gaps in between steps and platforms. The slides are also really high up, which is great for the older kids. Theres water behind the park and wildlife. It's an awesome place to go.

In the summer, this park is teeming with kids, all playing together. My son has yet to fail at finding an impromptu playdate for the afternoon when I bring him over to play, and he doesn't seem to get tired of the park. There are two areas for kids, a playground and a splash pad. There is also a walking trail that goes around a water feature and picnic tables, as well as basketball and tennis courts.
