I just decided to hike up the main rock (seen in the pictures) and head back, taking photos along the way, and it took me about 45 minutes. Iām not sure how much more there would have been further along the trail, but I did not have the proper shoes and likely would have slipped on the rocks if I had kept going.
Be warned: there is an active wasp hive tucked high up in the largest rock which you have to hike below to ascend. However as long as you remain calm and do not attack the few who venture down to the trail, they will be docile as well.

We went as a side-trip on our way home from the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve. Today is the first day of spring, with all the rain we have had in the area, expect to see plenty of pretty wildflowers.
The rocks are amazing. Easy trails or long hike. Remember to carry water, wear sunscreen or a hat, and watch for snakes in warmer weather.
I saw some hikers way across the canyon, so you could probably spend the whole day there, just exploring!
